On August 7th, the newest trailer for the fantastical and adventurous comedy, Paddington in Peru, was unveiled to the delight of fans everywhere. The ever-so-lovable Paddington Bear, with his endearing "E-personality," finds himself in another hilarious situation as he accidentally snaps an extraordinarily quirky passport photo, leaving everyone who sees it utterly charmed.
The film follows Paddington as he sets off on a journey to visit his Aunt Lucy at her retirement home in Peru. Accompanied by the Brown family, the little bear embarks on a thrilling adventure. However, when Aunt Lucy mysteriously disappears, they must venture into the Amazon rainforest and the mountains of Peru to unravel the mystery of her whereabouts.
Veteran advertising director Doug Wilson takes the helm for this sequel, marking his directorial debut in feature films. Ben Whishaw returns to voice Paddington, while many of the original cast members reprise their roles. New additions include Olivia Colman, who plays a nun running a retirement home specifically for bears, and Antonio Banderas as a ship's captain. Also joining the cast are Emily Mortimer and Rachel Zegler, known for her role as Snow White.
Paddington in Peru is set to premiere in the UK on November 8th and will hit North American screens on January 17th, 2025. China has confirmed that it will also screen the film, though the release date has yet to be announced!
