On August 19th, foreign media outlets have reported that Shiloh, the daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, has had her application to drop her father's surname officially sanctioned by the courts, allowing her to legally carry only her mother's name as Shiloh Jolie.
It is understood that on her 18th birthday, Shiloh filed a formal petition with the court to change her name. In July, in accordance with the standard procedures for changing one’s surname in the region, she placed an announcement in The Los Angeles Times declaring her intent to relinquish her father's last name through a court application.
